The Best of Both Worlds

We have seen some major changes at our factory and dynamic of the last few months at Infin8 Surfacing. We’ve started working closely with one of our group members at The Excellence Group. Read more about this exciting new development.

There have been some major changes happening at the Infin8 Surfacing factory since the beginning of the year. The biggest change has been the introduction of our fellow group member, Craft Furniture. We now share our industrial machinery and commercial manufacturing processes with them and we have newly begun taking on projects together as a team.

There are many advantages of this joint venture, which gets us excited as a team and as a group. We are sharing our industrial machinery that can be used on both timber projects as well as solid surfacing.

Both of our timber and solid surfacing elements make use of the same machinery. We share tools such as cutters, sanders and machinery like our CNC machine. This assists us in ensuring that we create products with accuracy and precision. Our quality resources and workmanship are important in generating a production line that is efficient without sacrificing quality.

This has resulted in our process becoming refined and optimised as we are sharing both resources and expertise. Our logistics and client experience teams have also merged making it easier for the client to get quotes for jobs that use both products. Through the expansion of our knowledge base, we are able to cross reference certain processes that can be made faster or done in a slightly different way.

Using a combination of the two different types of materials has many advantages. Using timber against any solid surface, where it be a singular colour or a stone style finish, the combination works well and becomes more aesthetically intriguing. From a functional point of view, there are some spaces where you can’t use timber- such as for vanities or kitchen sinks. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t be used in the same project! While the solid surfacing is impermeable it makes it perfect to use as a surface, while the timber elements make for perfect accent details. Our Rosario Range offers a variety of different basins that can be perfectly paired with timber joinery units that fit beneath it. This allows us to offer the complete unit to our clients without the hassle of dealing with two different suppliers.

Similarly with other projects such as coffee, console or dining tables, the end result is incredible with the combination of both materials. The beauty can really be seen through our vanity range where the coupling of timber in terms of joinery items and accent finishes. This combined with the shared resources in our factory and optimised client experience, it’s a no-brainer that this was definitely the right move. We’re excited for what the future holds as we expand our offering of infinite possibilities.
